After a rewarding 30 years as a teacher, Susan Dodd found a new passion: dressing bottles.
"I have always been an artsy-crafty person," she explains. "As a little girl, I made doll clothes and made most of my own clothes as a teenager."
So when she spotted a poorly crafted bottle cover at a local art fair, she had an "AHA!" moment. "I knew I could do that better!"
What started as a whimsical idea, quickly grew into a full-time enterprise. Creating simple covers for wine bottles evolved into intricate outfits. Her well-dressed wine bottles became coveted items. Susan expanded her line to include different types of bottles, themes and ensemble dressing.
Showcasing her work at juried art fairs, demand for her well-dressed bottle accessories exploded. To further serve her loyal and new customers, her products are now available online.
